1. General
Hidden Treasures is a small handcrafted soap, candle, bath salts, and sugar scrub shop based in Broadway, NC. These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and users of hiddentreasurescandle.com. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. From this point on, “The Site” will refer to the Hidden Treasures website and e-commerce shop.
2. Products
All products are handcrafted in small batches. Due to the handmade nature of our products, slight variations in color, texture, and scent may occur between batches. These variations are a natural characteristic of handcrafted goods and are not considered defects. Product descriptions and ingredient lists are provided in good faith and are as accurate as possible. If you have specific allergies or sensitivities, please review all ingredients carefully before purchasing or contact us before placing your order.
3. Orders & Pricing
All prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion. If we cancel your order and have already processed your payment, we will give you a refund equal to the amount you paid. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor your payment instrument to verify receipt of any refund. Orders are confirmed by email upon receipt. We are not responsible for errors in orders resulting from incorrect information provided by the customer.
4. Payment
Payment is required in full at the time of purchase. We accept major credit and debit cards processed through WooCommerce Payments. All transactions are processed securely through PCI-compliant processors. When you provide us with your payment information, you authorize our use of and access to the payment instrument you have chosen to use. By providing us with your payment information, you authorize us to charge the amount due for your order. If we believe your payment has violated any law or these Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right to cancel or reverse your transaction.
5. Shipping
We ship via UPS to all 50 states, including APO/Military addresses. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your order total. Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–2 business days. During peak seasons, please allow additional processing time. Please note that delivery times do not include weekends and statutory holidays.
You are required to provide us with a complete and accurate delivery address, including the name of the recipient. We are not liable for the delivery of your goods to the wrong address or wrong person as a result of you providing us with inaccurate or incomplete information. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier once a package has been shipped. If your order is lost or damaged in transit, please contact us and we will do our best to make it right. 6. Returns & Exchanges
Because our products are handcrafted personal care items, we are unable to accept returns. If your order arrives damaged due to carrier mishandling, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the damage and we will send a replacement. We are not able to accept returns or exchanges based on scent preference. Please reach out before ordering if you have questions about a scent or an ingredient list. If something is off with your order, please reach out to us and we will work with you to find an acceptable solution.
7. Custom Orders
Custom orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit prior to production. The remaining balance is due before shipping or pickup. All custom order details are confirmed in writing before any deposit is collected. By paying the deposit, you agree to the confirmed order details. 8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, logo, and branding — is the property of Hidden Treasures and may not be reproduced, copied, or used without written permission.
Acceptable Use of our site & accounts
As a user of our Site, you agree to use our Site legally, not to use our Site for illegal purposes, and not to:
- Harass or mistreat other users of our Site;
- Violate the rights of other users of our Site;
- Violate the intellectual property rights of the Site owners or any third party to the Site;
- Hack into the account of another user of the Site;
- Act in any way that could be considered fraudulent; or
- Post any material that may be deemed inappropriate or offensive.
Accounts
When you create an account on our Site, you agree to the following:
- You are solely responsible for your account and the security and privacy of your account, including passwords or sensitive information attached to that account; and
- All personal information you provide to us through your account is up to date, accurate, and truthful and that you will update your personal information if it changes.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you are using our Site illegally or if you violate these Terms and Conditions.If we believe you are using our Site illegally or in a manner that violates these Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right to limit, suspend or terminate your access to our Site. We also reserve the right to take any legal steps necessary to prevent you from accessing our Site.
9. Limitation of Liability
Hidden Treasures is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the order in question. While we take every precaution to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience with our products, we can not be held accountable to skin reactions or allergies that were not disclosed at the time of ordering. Nor are we liable for any injuries and damages as a result of misusing our products or disregarding all label warnings and directions. Our products are intended for external use only unless otherwise stated. We are not responsible for adverse reactions resulting from failure to read ingredient lists or misuse of products.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our website shall be resolved in the courts of North Carolina.
Consumer Protection Law
Where any consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction applies and cannot be excluded, these Terms and Conditions will not limit your legal rights and remedies under that legislation. These Terms and Conditions will be read subject to the mandatory provisions of that legislation. 11. Use of AI
In an effort to be fully transparent to our customers and site visitors alike. We do use AI tools, mainly Canva AI and Claude to assist in brainstorming, and proofreading content, stock and placeholder images and design layouts of labels, marketing material and email design. That being said all specific product picture, description and content such as Facebook posts, emails and website pages are written and refined by the owner(Anne Wills) and will always be have the human touch for those aspects of the business. All communication have had and will always be from a human being. We value the human connection over the ease and speed of automated automatic systems.
